Meet the creators

Author & Illustrator

This journal is shaped by a real family team of educators and artists who invite children to look closely, notice wonder, and trust what they see in the natural world.

Portrait of Erin L. Must

Author

Erin L. Must

When Erin isn’t summoning hidden creatures with her pen, she works as an Environmental Consultant. A geologist by training, she sees the world through a scientist’s lens while traveling—and every photo in this journal is a real image she captured on family trips, searching rocks, clouds, and landscapes for the stories they quietly hold.

Portrait of Rosemary Twamley

Illustrator

Rosemary Twamley

Rosemary, Erin’s daughter, designed the Squiggle Witch, Stewart the Frog, and Scooter the Turtle. Her encouragement helped this book series come to life—when Erin nearly set the project aside, Rosemary reminded her that this magical world was worth sharing.
